"Join The Global Economy, Become a World Citizen, Form a World Government..." Well, I don't know about you, but for me, this just isn't working. Where is this leading, and where is the power and money going? Clearly the "Global" nucleus is not in South Carolina. One out of every six South Carolinians works for a foreign-owned company. We are very grateful for the jobs, but you have to ask "How much of the corporate-level profits of these foreign-owned companies stays in South Carolina? Current answer: nobody knows.
